WHAT IS FIKA?
“Fika” [fee-ka] is a Swedish word used for the tradition of taking a mid-day break (or two!) for coffee and pastries with friends. Fika encompasses the mindset of resting and slowing down to appreciate the simple things in life.
WHAT IS A CARDAMOM BUN?!
Cardamom buns are like cinnamon rolls with a twist. They are a traditional Swedish pastry, sweet and buttery with cinnamon and cardamom filling. Cardamom is a slightly sweet, delicious spice found in chai tea and many Swedish baked goods. Our buns are topped with pearl sugar or almonds, depending on the batch, and the dough is beautifully twisted before being baked to perfection. Order a batch today!
IF I PLACE AN ORDER FOR CARDAMOM BUNS, WHEN WILL I PICK THEM UP?
Great question! Listed on each product is the pickup date. There will be clear pickup instructions on each product page, and we will also send a confirmation email with instructions on where to park, the number to text, and you'll be enjoying cardamom buns in no time!
IS EAGLE RIVER YOUR ONLY PICKUP LOCATION?
For now it is! We are using our commercial office property, and will be exploring additional locations in the future. If you have a suggestion please let us know!
IF I PLACE AN ORDER FOR 6, 12, OR MORE, WON'T THEY GO STALE QUICKLY?
While we normally wouldn't recommend you consume all of your pastries in one sitting, you don't have to worry about them going stale! After we bake each small batch of cardamom buns, we let them cool and wrap them to be frozen.
Simply take them home, store them in the freezer, and reheat them for enjoyment later!
